He was very ill, he had lost a lot of weight, and his mental health was very bad. He was diagnosed with neurosyphilis. Other doctors examined him and concluded that the syphilis had caused a lot of brain damage, which led to him having the mentality of a 12 year old child.

On January 25, 1947, Al Capone dies in his house and his family was surrounding him. He was burried in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside Illinois.
